"Difference is too small" message (during calibration)
The
reason for the message is that the change in analogue output from the scale
base between zero calibration and the span calibration value is too small.
The
most likely reason is that the amount of weight placed on the scale for span
calibration is too small – the minimum value should normally be around 50kg or 120
lbs.
Other
less likely reasons could be:
- The load cell
cable from the scale base junction box to the indicator is disconnected,
cut, or damaged
- Doing a span
calibration without putting weights on to the scale
- Doing the zero
calibration with weights sitting on the scale
- Failed load cell
- Mechanical bind
under the scale preventing the full load being detected by all four load
cells.
